About Me

Pippa Fairhead

BA (Hons), Dip Couns, BACP Accred, CTA (p), Dip Sup,

PTSTA (P) awaiting certificate

I recently attended the October 2020 online TEW (training endorsement workshop) to enable me to train and supervise TA students.  I am teaching on Metanoia Institute's Diploma Year One training which is a joy and privilege for me.

I am a qualified and experienced psychotherapist and psychotherapeutic counsellor with a private practice in Brighton and Hove.

I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist, a BACP accredited psychotherapeutic counsellor and have a diploma in supervision.

I am a Certified Transactional Analyst which means I have a psychotherapy qualification in Transactional Analysis.  Transactional Analysis psychotherapy and counselling offer an accessible and simple approach to help people build awareness, understand themselves, their relationships with others and patterns in life.  Although it offers a simple approach it also enables deep work into old patterns and redecision in psychotherapy.

I had a varied professional life working in the private and not-for-profit sector prior to becoming a counsellor and psychotherapist.  This included finance, fashion, PR, music, events organisation, publishing, online editorial, education and arts education as a teacher.  I have extensive experience working with children and young people in support roles.

I now work with people from all different walks of life, with students, people working part or full time or not working. I work with young people aged 18 and upwards, I also work with people in older age.

I currently work for myself in private practise, for Employment Assistance Programmes and insurance companies and have experience working short and long term with people from very varied backgrounds.

I am a member of UKCP, UKATA, BACP, and IARTA adhere to the UKCP, BACP and UKATA’s code of ethics.
