Training

Training Undertaken:

Qualifying as a Transactional Analyst is a rigorous process and specific criteria must be fulfilled (it is equivalent to an MA qualification).  These include: 

  1. Completing at least 900 hours of advanced training

  2. Completing at least 750 hours work with clients

  3. Having personal therapy during training - at least 40 hours per year

  4. Having supervision for client work

  5. Completing a mental health placement

  6. Abiding by the ethics of the accrediting bodies - UKCP, UKATA and EATA

  7. Passing a 24,000 word dissertation

  8. Passing an oral exam with a panel of four experienced psychotherapists

I have undertaken over 400 further hours CPD including:  

  • diploma in supervision

  • certificate in couples work

  • faith awareness training

  • transgender awareness training,

  • addiction training for counsellors

  • duo counselling training

  • essential supervision skills 

 

Training Delivered:

  • Effective Communicaton skills to adults

  • Delivered CPD training on use of TA Tools to counselling students

  • Addiction Training to counselling students

  • Assisted on Counselling Skills Training

  • Assisted on TA101 

  • Invigilation for supervision diploma

  • Educator in multiple whole class, small group and 1:1 tuition in various educational settings to children, young people and young adults (ages 7 - 28).

  • Devised and taught programmes for children, young people and young adults (aged 7 - 25) to build confidence, awareness and understanding of their emotions to inform decision making.  Also taught groups of parents and children using the above programme.

  • PTSTA - Provisional Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst (DUE Jan 2020)

  • Dip Sup - Diploma in Supervision (2019)

  • CTA (p) - Certified Transactional Analyst psychotherapy field (2018)

  • BACP (Accred) - BACP accredited Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (2017)

  • DipCouns - Diploma in Counselling (2015)
